The evenings were really quiet, and there’s a Lawson just a 2-3 minute walk away, so the area worked well for us. Getting to Hakata or Tenjin does mean changing subway lines, though. We chose the place because we wanted room for four, and it fit me, my father, and my middle school-aged brother and sister comfortably. The beds were wide, and there were plenty of towels. It turned out to be a good choice for a spacious stay.

For getting around, it was handy: the subway is under a five-minute walk away and has an elevator, and the supermarket is about three minutes away. Tenjin Station is close, with lots of ramen places, and Don Quijote is a three-stop ride away, followed by a five-minute walk. Parking next door cost 900 yen for the day, but spaces may be gone if you wait until 8 pm. The room had a washing machine with detergent, an indoor drying rack, a microwave, and a separate freezer. There was no bathtub, the bathroom was a bit small, and the bed was soft and comfortable, though I would have liked bouncier pillows. One thing we hadn’t noticed in the listing was the cemetery behind the room. It was fenced off and hard to see unless you were on a high floor, but during our four-day stay it caused some issues for our child.
