The location worked well, and the room was quiet. They also served a nice tea set, and it tasted good. It would have helped to have two room cards for two travelers, since we might head out or return at different times.

The service was good, as you'd expect in Japan, but the Wi-Fi was really, really bad. I had to use my own data just to post this. Eight years ago, a BNB in Jaipur, India had faster Wi-Fi than this place in Fukuoka, Japan's sixth-largest city. So sad. Our room had no window that could be opened, and not even a phone to call the lobby. The walls weren't very soundproof either. I don't need afternoon tea, I just want a normal Wi-Fi signal. It shouldn't be that hard.

The room turned out to be spacious and nice, and the welcome bakery they brought to it was the highlight. Everything was delicious and felt as high quality as a five-star bakery restaurant. I picked this place through booking.com because it was close to the Nakasu yatai across the river and plenty of other eateries. The yatai were nearby, but sadly we couldn't enjoy them because it was so crowded and the queue was long. Highly recommended if you're going to Fukuoka.

Breakfast was delivered to our room each morning, with a selection of foods, which is a unique touch. The central location also made it easy to reach historic landmarks, restaurants, cafes, and shopping areas. Our room at The Onefive Villa Fukuoka was spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with separate areas for privacy around the bathroom, shower and toilet, as well as a small study and entrance space. It was very clean and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and accommodating. There isn't a bar, restaurant, or gym at the hotel, though the central location helps make up for that. The price was reasonable and as expected. We'd like to come back.
