The room was clean and nice, and the building felt relatively new. I pre-checked in by email and paid the room tax ahead of time, so the check-in itself took about 30 seconds. It’s spacious and easy to get around on foot, with a convenient location that gives good access in any direction. Nearby, Taira is a great udon restaurant, and Mori may be a drugstore, but it’s as good as a supermarket, with a wide selection, fresh produce, and hours until midnight. The mezzanine is very high, which makes the space feel open. You can cook and do laundry, though the heating is a little weak.

It was my first stay here, and the room was clean, spacious enough for me and a work colleague, and well suited to two people. With a loft, bunk beds, and futons, it seems like four or five people could fit. The operator, who seemed to be a foreigner, was very polite and walked me through the check-in, which went smoothly. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station. There were a few problems, though. I was told the day before that the washing machine was broken, and the designated coin laundry was a 23-24 minute walk away. The entrance door’s electronic lock was also broken, so they provided a key instead, again after telling me the day before. The circulating fan’s airflow couldn’t be adjusted, either, perhaps because it was broken or old. It’s a shame those things came up, since the rest of the experience was excellent. If the issues are fixed, I’d like to stay again. Thank you.

I’ve stayed at other Trippod Fukuoka branches before, and chose this one because it was closer to Hakata Station. It’s still one of my top choices in Fukuoka, and hasn’t let me down. The rooms are clean, well equipped, and spacious enough to open several suitcases. The washing machine is useful for tourists. It’s under a 10-minute walk to the station, about two minutes to a bus stop, and there’s a 7-Eleven and Lawson nearby. This time I used rooms 101 and 203. The photos here are of 203. Room 101 is a little smaller than 203, and its bunk beds were fine. The bunks in 203 were shaky and uncomfortable, so I had to sleep on the sofa instead. You have to check in in person at building A, and there’s an additional city fee of ¥200 per person, payable by credit card.

Check-in was simple and convenient: I could start online, then finish on a tablet at the property. The room was clean and had enough space for two suitcases. There’s a kitchen, though no seasonings. It’s an inexpensive place, about a nine-minute walk from Hakata Station. The missing seasonings are a minor drawback, but the biggest problem was the very weak air conditioning.

The check-in tablet was broken, and I couldn't find my room number or passcode, so I was left outside for more than an hour. Another Korean guest ended up spending over 20 minutes on an international call, speaking Japanese with a representative, before I could barely get inside. The owner hung up right away and didn't help at all. The machine was still broken when I left, and they even asked for an extra fee. This was the worst place I've ever stayed, and I was already angry enough to give it one star. If you don't want your trip spoiled, stay somewhere else. Paying a little more for a hotel would be much better.
