We stayed for 9 nights and came away with a very good impression. It's only a 3 minutes walk from Hakata Station, with plenty of restaurants nearby and the usual 7-11 and Lawson convenience stores. The hotel is in good shape: rooms were clean, functional, and well maintained, and you can open the windows. Bathrooms are the standard box style, with a heated mirror to stop it fogging up. The breakfast option was reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and eager to help, although their English was a bit spotty. That's fairly normal in Japan, so I don't hold it against them. With some patience and Google translate, most situations are easy enough. Housekeeping came every day, and there are laundry facilities, ice, vending machines, and parking. We used a parking space for 5 nights while making several day trips around Kyushu. I especially liked the locker area, where you can freely use wire lockers and boxes with number locks to store luggage.

Very close to Hakata station, which makes getting around convenient, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room was clean, and the bed was okay, but it was very small, the usual compact Japanese style. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast downstairs at the Kyushu Megumi no Kozuchi restaurant was delicious.

The room was spotless and the staff were friendly. Rooms are usually small, and with our 2 large suitcases it was a squeeze, but for the price I'm very happy. It's about 6 minutes walk from Hakata station, with a 7-11 on the way for a late snack or water. The self-service luggage storage is secure and easy to use. I'd definitely stay again when visiting Fukuoka.

A new, very clean hotel with great Wi-Fi, about 5min walking distance from Hakata Station. Rooms are little, as they are in many Japanese hotels, but the staff are extremely friendly and speak good English. Breakfast downstairs has a choice of a western or Japanese set, plus a buffet. There is coin laundry, and the lockers on the reception floor are free to use for baggage. Totally recommended.

The location makes getting around with luggage easy, just a short walk from Hakata Station, and even so, the area stays surprisingly quiet at night. I slept well every night at Via Inn Hakataguchi Ekimae. I loved the room. It felt spacious for Japan, with enough room to open my suitcase properly and still move around. Everything was clean, modern, and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable too. My stay was so comfortable and convenient that I'd definitely come back when I'm in Hakata.
