WELLCABIN TENJIN - Male Only

The front desk staff were friendly, and the location was excellent. I spent four nights in a Semi-Private Cabin and was very satisfied. It cost about the same as a regular capsule, but gave me much more private space, plus a TV in the room, so it felt like much better value. If I come back to Fukuoka, I'd definitely pick Wellcabin Tenjin again 🥰

I spent all 9 days of my Fukuoka trip here. It's right in the middle of the city, near major train stations and shopping areas, so I'd recommend it for solo or budget travelers. If snoring bothers you, use the ear plugs the hotel provides.

The service lost a point for me. I asked whether they could keep my luggage for 3 extra hours after checkout, and the clerk said yes, but when checkout day came, they turned me down. The worst part is that there's just one elevator shared by smoking and non-smoking guests and floors. It's a few minutes from the green Nanakuma line. I'm 5'6" and barely avoid hitting my head on the ceiling when I sit up straight in bed. The capsule has two outlets and a light switch. There are showers, a microwave, and hot water in the common area.

For a solo male stay, this is one of the better options I've found. At this price, I don't think many places in Fukuoka match the cleaning or the convenience of the facilities. My one concern is the second-floor bed: there's no safety bar to stop you from falling while asleep, so it feels a little dangerous.
