The Celecton Fukushima

Breakfast was really delicious, and the staff were kind, especially the woman at the restaurant. The glass elevator is cool. The room was clean, warm, cozy, safe, and well equipped. The hotel is right in front of fukushima station, which is super convenient. Great price, highly recommended.

Jan 4, 2025 The hotel is right outside the west exit of Fukushima station, with a nice view of the station. The furniture is a little old and the door doesn’t lock automatically, but the interior feels cozy and homey, which I liked. The bathroom has been newly renovated, so the stay was still comfortable. There’s no outlet by the bed or warm bed light, but it was okay. The buffet breakfast was better and more filling than I usually expect at a hotel. The butter croissants 🥐 were so good! I missed the free evening curry, served from 18-22h, so it would’ve been nice to try that. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They brought my luggage, which I’d left earlier in the day, right up to my room. Check-in and check-out were both super quick. We booked on Booking and paid less than ¥7,000 for one night in a queen room. Loved the stay!

The rooms were nice and clean, and the hotel is right by the train station. If you’re visiting Fukushima and want a central hotel at a fairly reasonable price, I’d say you can’t go wrong here.

The location was excellent, and I got a kick out of riding the glass elevator every time. The hotel is old style, but I enjoyed that, like taking a trip back in time. I stayed five nights and had a wonderful visit at the Celecton. The young man at the desk helped with my unreasonable request to switch to a room with a nice view. Seeing Fukushima city and the shinkansen whiz by was great. The free curry was fun, though it seemed like instant curry and I didn’t notice any special flavor or color. They also helped fix the broken coffee machine. The cleaning lady was extremely polite and replenished all the items we needed.
