I used this as a base for day trips over three days, and things were pretty good. The location is great, right outside the station, so I didn't have to worry about getting up early to catch transportation. The rooms are a little dated, but clean and functional. Soundproofing could be better, though most of the other guests were polite, so it didn't bother me while trying to sleep. Breakfast was good, and I had it each morning. It was consistent throughout my stay.

The location is quite convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Fukuyama Station, and Fresher supermarket is next to the hotel. My room was big and clean, and the price was acceptable. At the front desk, there was free bath fragrance powder, Kracie facial serum samples, facial lotion, shaving razors, and shaving cream. You can take as much as you want, though don't take too much.

I've really enjoyed the Richmond hotels I've stayed at in Japan, and this one was no different. It was comfortable, clean, hospitable, and had good amenities. I wish this were the standard in Europe. Breakfast was perfect. I didn't give it five stars because the reception lighting could be a warmer color when you come in.

This is definitely one of the better hotels around here, with more reasonable prices than Onomichi. It's in a perfect spot, close to the train station and downtown restaurants, and Onomichi is a quick 20-minute train ride away. The staff were great. Everyone I spoke with was courteous, helpful, and spoke English. The rooms were very good, and breakfast was great at just 1000 yen. I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area.
