Getting around is easy from here: there’s lots of parking, restaurants are 1-2 km away, and Ningle Terrace is very close. A Tsuruha Drugstore and Lawson are right beside the property. The bathroom was excellent and very clean, with high-quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There’s also a microwave, washing machine, and vacuum cleaner for shared use. The self check-in takes a little while since you have to enter every guest’s details, including their current address, then call the staff on the provided tablet to get your room code. Keep in mind there are two floors and no elevator.

The wooden interior is lovely, and the bathroom was immaculate. Check-in was quick and easy, and the host answered my questions right away. A real gem in Furano.

The room setup was a major disappointment. It was described as two bedrooms, but it’s really one room with two beds, plus floor space where two more people can sleep on mats. Getting checked in was another ordeal after a long day of travel. The process felt needlessly complicated and slow: I had to enter all my details on a non-QWERTY keyboard, then wait for a video call to verify my passport. On top of that, there was practically no soundproofing. We could hear every footstep from the guests upstairs all night, as if they were right beside us. With the hassle and the lack of quiet and privacy, I wouldn’t recommend JR Mobile Inn Furano.

The location is good, but at this price I’d choose a proper hotel. The rubbish bin is small, and there’s no separation between the two areas. It’s not a two-bedroom suite, either. It’s one room with two beds and two extra Tatami beds. Calling this a scam is how I felt about the misleading setup. Check-in was poor, with no information provided before I arrived and had to do it myself. The tablet keyboard was difficult to use, and the screen tabs were cut off, so I couldn’t tell whether to select foreigner passport or Japanese. There was no staff on site. A Southeast Asian woman, who seemed to be somewhere outside Japan, verified the check-in by video. The first-floor soundproofing was extremely bad. Every step upstairs sounded like an earthquake.

A 10 a.m. checkout felt far too early compared with other places we’ve stayed. At exactly 10, the housekeeper knocked to hurry us out, but couldn’t manage basic English. When we had requests, nobody replied. It was a very disappointing stay. *ADD ON* I’m attaching proof because you keep denying that there were NO unanswered requests. Anyone thinking of booking should know: DO NOT book with them. They deny everything. Given what we expect in Japan, this was truly a disgrace and very disappointing.
