I wouldn't call this a luxurious place. The inn feels very dated, and the carpets and rooms are shabby and show their age. When we arrived, staff put our bags on a trolley in the lobby, which is up some stairs, then didn't keep an eye on them. The trolley rolled down the stairs and our bags fell to the floor. Luckily, we had nothing fragile that could have been damaged. The meals fell short too. Dinner was average, and breakfast was mostly low-quality dishes. I was disappointed, as this isn't the kind of ryokan you choose for gourmet food. I paid nearly 60,000 yen for half board for two people, and it wasn't worth it. Booking a nicer room isn't worth the money either, since the lounge offering is poor. Don't come here if you're looking to relax. The hot bath in the room was okay, but not hot enough. The baths overall were average and also not hot enough.

Dinner and breakfast were great, and the staff line up by the road to see you off. It's a good seaside onsen hotel. The building is quite dated, but the interior is well maintained.

Dinner was really good, and the view was lovely. It's a very good hotel to choose, though quite expensive. One issue: there are no screen doors, which makes opening the windows at night a problem.
