It’s a little out of the way, but there are buses to most places not too far off. The information the staff gave me wasn’t up to date, though that wasn’t their fault, Google had it wrong. They did their best to help when I needed it.

The building seemed a bit run down, but everything else was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I paid 15,000 yen per night for a non-smoking twin room with breakfast. Maybe the twin room explains the price. The staff were helpful, though I only saw them at check-in. The hotel mostly had signs saying staff weren’t available and to call a number for help. The room was filthy and smelled awful, like sewage or urine as well as cigarette smoke. There were stains on the floor and walls, and I didn’t want to walk around without slippers or set my luggage down. The duvet cover had slipped off, and the duvet had a reddish-brown mark that might have been blood. It was disgusting, and I couldn’t use it. There wasn’t even any Febreze to deal with the smell. The entrance door glass was dirty too, which made me wonder how thoroughly anything was cleaned. The photos didn’t show the narrow, triangular bathtub, and the sink was low, level with the toilet. Breakfast came as a bento box with side dishes, plus rice and miso soup to serve yourself. I’ll never stay in such a smelly, dirty place again. I’d rather sleep in my car.
