Hotel Sweet Season-L

Good.

I stopped here during a trip, and the woman at the front desk was really friendly and helpful. I’d booked through Agoda and got a confirmation email about my check-in time. While replying, I asked how check-in worked, and she explained it clearly, which put me at ease. I was told I could park anywhere on the first floor and check in at the front desk on the second. She even showed me the elevator while other guests were there, which embarrassed me a bit, so I’m giving it 4 stars lol. The hotel looked old from the outside, but the inside was nice. I ordered fried onions and fried chicken, and they were delicious. For breakfast, you can pick Japanese food, Western food, or cereal, and the quality is high.

I rented a room starting around 2pm yesterday, and the cleaning was extremely poor. There were cigarette butts in the room, and the women’s curling dryer had been used by the previous guest and left in a bag with hair still on it. If guests are paying for services, the place needs to be cleaned properly. Being short-staffed or busy isn’t an excuse. They should think about the customer’s position and run the business accordingly. The front desk was also very rude when I left. They said the checkout function wasn’t working, but I know checkout can be handled at the front desk. If they’d helped me when it wasn’t working, I wouldn’t have left feeling bad. You can tell a place’s quality by how its staff speak to and treat people. If they run several locations, they should train their employees better.

The phone service was awful. I expected basic common sense from a customer service job, but they spoke casually to me right from the start and made me uncomfortable. I never want to go back. There are plenty of other good places.
