The neighborhood made this stay especially comfortable. People nearby seemed close with one another and were welcoming to gaijin, and there are quiet private beaches about a five-minute walk in either direction. A grocery store is roughly a 30-minute walk away. I traveled all over Okinawa, and this was the most comforting place I stayed. The host was friendly and had helpful advice. The bed was comfortable, the AC strong, and the shower pressure amazing. It was very quiet at night, and laundry was available too.

Such a peaceful place, with a lovely neighborhood and friendly neighbors. It stayed quiet enough to sleep without loud disturbances. The landlady was really cool and funny, and even came down once a week to clean the bathroom. 😆😁

The room was roomy and felt like a tidy, regular home. I also liked having a deserted beach and a popular local izakaya just a short walk away. I came alone from Tokyo for the Hanshin Tigers' Ginoza training camp, and was a little uneasy about staying in a privately run villa instead of a big hotel. My questions by phone beforehand were answered so politely that I felt reassured. After I arrived, they kindly drove me to Ginoza Stadium and the roadside station, which I really appreciated. I'd definitely stay here again for another Hanshin Tigers' training camp visit.
