Yakasoba House

The soba was really good, and my wife and I had a great time here. It felt authentic and the prices were fair. They cook everything to order, so there’s a bit of a wait, but it’s worth it for the food. The meat topping was tender and good quality. I’d go for the goat soba. I’ll be back!

Everything tasted fresh, and I really enjoyed my meal. It was busy with limited seats, but they didn’t turn me away and instead seated me at a table with other diners. The food takes about 30 minutes because they make it after you order, and it comes out steaming or sizzling. Prices are reasonable. They keep the place clean, and you can see the fresh ingredients they cook with. I ended up here because I’m staying at the AirBnB in the attached building, so walking next door was much easier than driving somewhere else. There’s no English menu, but a staff member helps everyone at the tables. I pointed to the food photo I wanted, and she showed me which option to select on the kiosk. The kiosk takes cash only. Water is free, and there are a few other canned drinks in the fridge. They have bathrooms, and the building is easy to access by wheelchair. It’s a cute little place and well worth a stop.

Worth stopping in when you’re in Yaka. It’s a small soba shop with lots of choices, fair prices, and very friendly staff. You order using the ticket machine at the front. There are food photos to help you choose, but the machine itself only lists prices, not the actual items.

The pictures on the wall show the prices, then you put your money into the ticket machine. This place is just down the road from the flea market in kush, so I had to stop in for Okinawan food.
