Business Hotel Central

I’d be happy to stay here again. We ended up needing a room unexpectedly on the first day of a three day weekend, and finding somewhere with free parking, smoking rooms, space for two, and breakfast was a challenge. This hotel had everything I was looking for. The room had body wash, shampoo and conditioner, a kettle, cups, glasses, a fridge, and a slightly roomy unit bathroom. The only letdown was that there’s no elevator. Thanks for taking care of us!

The room noise was the main issue. I could hear everything from next door, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re sensitive to sound. There’s a good izakaya in the same building downstairs, and I’d have come back for it if the room had been quieter. Breakfast seemed to have less bread than the earlier photo showed. Amenities are limited. Shampoo, body soap, and conditioner were supplied, but toothbrushes came from the front desk. They were those old-fashioned Showa-era brushes with toothpaste attached, the kind you hardly see anymore.

The toothbrush was an odd, very basic kind. If you’ll need one in the morning and again at night, bring your own. I was on a business trip and expected worse after reading the reviews, but it turned out to be a perfectly ordinary business hotel. By chance it was quiet during my stay, and I didn’t notice any noise from neighboring rooms.

I came to the AIR Holy Land in Taiwan. The front desk staff made a real effort to communicate despite the language barrier, and they were friendly throughout. The thoughtfulness and the location earn full marks from me.
