After staying at Nigorigawa Onsen the night before, I took the Ontake Panorama Line via Kosaka and Takayama to Shiratori Town. This inn is near Kitano Station on the Nagaragawa Railway, and the property also has Iimon Sakamon Santaberu, an Italian restaurant, plus the Nicoem Baumkuchen specialty shop. I didn't do any sightseeing this time because it rained from evening through the next day, but the area looks worth visiting in any season. I'd like to return and check out the attached shop too. My room was a basic six-tatami Japanese-style space with few amenities, but it was fine for sleeping. The bathroom, toilet, and sink are shared, though I didn't find that inconvenient. There are separate indoor baths for men and women with activated mineral hot springs, and they helped ease the day's fatigue. I had both meals in the dining room. Dinner included local Okumino Curry, two small sides, sashimi, and a Hida beef minced cutlet, all delicious. Breakfast was a simple Japanese set, followed by coffee that I enjoyed.
