The common room has a fireplace and is a nice place to spend the evening, where people usually gather. We stayed over New Year for a ski holiday, and the staff went above and beyond to make things work for us. They offer an on-call shuttle, so you can ask for a ride anywhere within the ski resort; each morning they drove us to the ski station and picked us up in the afternoon. The property is about five minutes by car from the ski resort and around ten minutes from the nearest convenience store, Lawson in town. There's a kitchen, so bring groceries if you want to cook, as food choices at the ski resort are limited.

I've been back five different years, which tells you how much I dislike it. My friends keep coming along too, and in bigger numbers every year. Maybe you'll also learn to hate the warmth, the delicious breakfasts and dinners, and the very affordable comforts at Appi Arts and Life is Beautiful.

The fireplace and rocking chair were my favorite part. Our window had a gorgeous view, and there's parking. It's close to the Appi Kogen ski resort. The stove is electric, but we could use the grill too. They had all the utensils, and you can get ingredients at a nearby grocery. I looooove this place.

At Earth Color lodge, Tomo, the friendly owner, made us feel at home with a warm welcome and wonderful hospitality. The lounge was spacious and tranquil, and we enjoyed freshly made coffee and tea there. We really enjoyed our time and highly recommend it.
