Minshuku Sekitoyo

The meals felt like good home cooking, with plenty of different dishes and especially tasty rice. The staff were kind, too, and the value is much better than at a chain business hotel. The building is old, but inside it was clean and pleasant.

The landlady gave us rice balls in the morning, and they were delicious. With so few nearby shops, I couldn’t find the local specialties I’d hoped to buy, so eating at the inn may have been the right call. Our room, bedding, and bath were all clean and comfortable.

The landlady was so kind that I had a lovely stay while walking toward Hokkaido. I’d come back next time, even if it meant changing my route.

I got completely soaked because I couldn’t see the puddle by the entrance in the early morning darkness. They’d made me three tasty rice balls after I mentioned I’d be leaving early.
