The breakfast had plenty to choose from, including seafood, cooked dishes, salads, fruit punch, pastries, and a good range of drinks. Still, it was the same each morning throughout my nine-night stay. The room service was excellent: they cleaned every three days, and the room was spotless afterward, with fresh towels and slippers every day. The concierge was warm and welcoming, and always helped whenever we needed something. I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Enoe.

The hotel has a nice atmosphere, though I found the concierge unhelpful when I asked about booking a restaurant next door. At night, I could clearly hear doors on my floor opening and closing again and again.

I liked how quiet and convenient the area was. The red brick market and rope way are nearby, and there’s a streetcar stop close by too. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and the hotel itself was nice.

We could walk to a tram stop, and the view from our room looked out over the sea, where we watched the sunrise. The room was surprisingly large compared with other Japanese hotels. Service was great, and the buffet breakfast had a fantastic selection, including many traditional Ainu dishes. It was well worth the price.

Being in one of Hakodate’s tallest buildings made Hotel Enoe easy to spot and navigate to. It’s in the city’s southeast, with short walks to the Ropeway, ALT (Incredible Ramen Bar), and Motomachi, plus a nearby tram station for getting downtown. Service was superior and the room amenities were too. They even provide free razors, and laundry has wash and dry options for 500 yen. This may be the most luxurious place to stay in Hakodate.
