The owners, a lovely mother and daughter I believe, really look after the place, and it shows in how clean everything is. The prices were very good compared with other hostels I've stayed at, and I even had a nice chat with them since I speak a little Japanese. The pets are friendly, which made this a fun stay for me as an animal lover. If pets aren't your thing, it may not suit you, but I totally recommend it if you like them. Best hostel I've stayed in!

We had a really good night at this family-run guest house. It's a great way to stay somewhere local, with private rooms in the family home and a choice of futons or bunk beds. The rooms were very clean, and they provide free tea and coffee. Our hosts were kind and extremely helpful, though they didn't speak English. They still tried their best to communicate, and knowing a few Japanese phrases like “excuse me” and “thank you” would help you reply. Getting there is a little tricky. The bus center is about a seven-minute walk away and has a bus to the station, or a taxi to or from the station costs 1,000 yen.

It felt like staying in a room in someone's home, and there was no curfew. The rooms were clean, with free tea and coffee. The owner was extremely helpful, though she doesn't speak English. Google Translate worked perfectly well for us. There's also coin laundry for 200¥, plus a dryer.

My girlfriend and I came from Australia and really loved staying here. The people were so friendly and kind, and they didn't judge us. They even lent us umbrellas and drove my girlfriend to the store. There are lots of places within walking distance.
