Hotel Hakuba Hifumi

After skiing, we loved being able to unwind in the private onsen in our Sen room. The futons were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious, especially the Galette. My husband tried the traditional Japanese breakfast on our last morning and liked that too. There’s also a shared onsen for families, women and men, though we preferred having our own space. The hotel is spotless and beautifully traditional. We arrived early, and Toma-son promptly picked us up at the Happo Bus terminal. He and the other staff also tried to help us get restaurant reservations when the area was busy. We missed out on a few places, but found other options nearby without trouble. The hotel is central to Happo, with restaurants and bars close by. We had an amazing stay and hope to return.

The private onsen in our SEN room was such a cozy treat after a day on the slopes, and the room was spotless. Housekeeping changed the towels each day without us asking, which was a thoughtful touch. The location made getting around easy. Ohyokkuri is just nearby, and both the bus station and Lawson are about a five-minute walk away. Every staff member was warm and attentive. Tomo-san, the manager, even drove us to the train station early in the morning. That kind of care made the stay feel special. We had a stress-free visit and would happily recommend the hotel. Book ahead, since it’s well worth it.

Our Toki room was very spacious, with comfortable futons and an amazing view from the balcony. We also enjoyed the open air bath. The website clearly explains which rooms include one and which don’t. If you choose a less expensive room, there’s an on-site onsen you can reserve. Breakfast was pretty good too.

Breakfast was fresh and really good, and the staff were super polite and helpful. The hotel was spotless and in a convenient spot. We had a wonderful stay, such an amazing hotel!
