The location is right on the slopes, so you can ski in and ski out. Breakfast was delicious every morning, with enough variety and food to fuel a day on the mountain. Koichi, mamasen and the whole family take Japanese hospitality to another level. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you so much to all of you.

The ski-in, ski-out access made getting onto the slopes effortless, and Hotel Kuraya has a cozy, nostalgic feel thanks to its distinctive older decor. The family who runs it were kind and attentive from the moment I arrived, and you can tell they care about keeping the place’s character. I had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would gladly return.

Koichi and mama-san, thank you! The meals were delicious, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming that I felt at home right away. It’s also fantastic value in a great location. I’d absolutely stay here again.
