Our dogs could play outside, and the location made it easy to get around. It’s such a warm, cozy place to stay with dogs. The food was wonderful, the service excellent, and we had a really pleasant stay. Thank you!

We had a clean, simple room with a unit bath, though we used the bath in the basement. I did wish there were a mirror on the wall for using the hair dryer. They also have a nice range of dog accessories. We were a family of three with our Shiba Inu, and the attentive service and carefully made dishes were delicious. We’d told them ahead of time that we don’t like venison, so our dog’s meal was changed to chicken and horse meat. Our dog loved the meal, dessert included. Breakfast was served inside and on the terrace; we enjoyed the crisp Hakuba morning and the chef’s recommended egg rice for +500 yen, which was delicious and really filling. While we were sightseeing, another guest asked when we’d ordered dog food. We said we’d requested it when making the reservation, but it might be nice if guests could order it on the day. We’d like to come back in the snowy season.
The owners were very kind, and their golden retriever, Mei-chan, was so cute. My dog and I were happy with our stay, and we’d like to come back in summer. Dogs can lounge anywhere in the building, and the glass-walled dining area has a great view. It’s a small hotel with convenient access to Hakuba Iwatake and Hakuba Happo Ski Resort. The dog run isn’t restricted in winter, so dogs can run around in the snow. Our large dog struggled with the steep, narrow stairs to the second floor (lol), but the room itself was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a plate of bread and more bread. Dinner was an original creative meal, and it was tasty, though it may not suit everyone. Older guests might be a little disappointed. We booked special menus for our wedding anniversary and birthday on the first night, but I couldn’t tell what was special about the menu or what the upgrade was supposed to be. My husband wasn’t used to Western food and complained that it was a special occasion (sweats). He started whining and asking to move to another lodge from the next day. Eating Western food every night would get boring, so I think more variety would be good. Still, I’d highly recommend this inn.
The inside is simple, without a lot of unnecessary clutter. There are plenty of hot springs nearby, so that worked out fine. The food was a real surprise: I hadn’t expected much with so many dog owners staying here, but the cuisine was authentic, exquisite, and absolutely delicious. The morning view of the Hakuba mountain range was fantastic too. It was so hot this year that we ate indoors, but I’d love to try the terrace when it cools down. You can also come just for lunch. I’d definitely stay here again.
Dogs are welcome everywhere in the hotel, and the view is amazing. The people are nice, and the food is delicious. The snow was so deep there was no dog run, but the scenery made walks pleasant, and there’s a beautiful river nearby. I’ll stay here again. Inns with good food are hard to find!! The room was bigger, which is nice, but it’s mostly just empty space and not very practical. There’s only somewhere to sit, and I’d like a table or sofa, plus somewhere to hang or put luggage.
