The owners were really friendly and accommodating, and they gave us a lift in the rain, which was very kind. The rooms are a little small. They took time to explain mountain bus routes and schedules, as well as snowboard rentals. Bus stops are just a few minutes’ walk away, and Lawson convenience store is around a 10-minute walk. They offer discounts on chair lift passes and nearby bath houses, but get them early because they run out. We’d stay here again.

It’s close to several ski areas, and when we arrived early they held our bags until check-in, so we could go enjoy the city without carrying them around. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and it’s a decent spot for a night or two.

The location was excellent and the staff were really friendly, but this place is only a good fit if all you care about is being near the mountain and paying very little. I skipped breakfast because it was too late for anyone wanting an early start on the mountain, which I found odd, so I can’t comment on it. The room was very cold. The wall heater didn’t work well, and the propane floor heater smelled awful in a small, enclosed room, which can’t be good for you. The facilities are very old, the room is small, and cleanliness was just so-so. It wasn’t somewhere I wanted to return to and unwind after a long day on the slopes. I didn’t try the onsen either, it didn’t look appealing to me.

We stayed in a basement room at the end of last year and paid just 2400 yen each, so it was super cheap. The inexpensive room had no window, but we didn’t mind at that price. We used the regular shower, onsen, and breakfast. This was my second time at the hotel. The owner is kind, the price is great, and we’ll come again.
