Farm Stay

The place is well kept and cozy, and the owners made us feel welcome and were always helpful. My friend and I had a really great time. It’s just a couple of minutes on foot from the “iwatake gondola” highway bus stop and the iwatake gondola station. If you’re coming from happo bus terminal, they may be able to pick you up, depending on availability. A perfect base for visiting iwatake mountain resort. Ask the owner about gondola tickets before buying yours, there might be good news!

The couple who run the place are absolute gems, so welcoming and accommodating. They picked us up from the bus terminal, took us to the train station when we left, and drove us to the supermarket so we could get food for the small but well equipped kitchen. The rooms are a bit small, especially for three people, though there’s plenty of shared space. The bathroom has a huge bath that’s always piping hot. We had an amazing time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here.

The rooms are pretty plain, but given the price, I wasn’t expecting anything fancy. What made Farm stay such a great experience was the couple running it. They were the kindest, most helpful hosts I’ve dealt with, and they’ll try to help with basic transport around the area, including rides to or from a bus or train station. You can arrange breakfast and dinner through the booking site or directly with the hosts. I’d definitely suggest having breakfast at least. One thing to know is their English isn’t very strong, but they carry pocket translators for anything that’s hard to explain. I really enjoyed my stay and only wish I could’ve stayed longer.
