The window had a stunning view, and the owner was very kind. Breakfast was freshly made by him, too. But perhaps he was too busy cleaning, looking after guests, or cooking dinner in the dining room, because our room was full of dust. There was a dead mantis on the loft bed, and dust on the sheets as well. The loft bed’s red carpet was so faded it came off like powder and marked my trousers. For the price, the hostel was just fine.

The area was very quiet, and we had a lovely large, comfortable room. The food was delicious, too. My nine-year-old son and I stayed for three nights in March 2020 and got such warm, genuine service. The gentleman was incredibly kind and helpful. I definitely recommend it 🤗

The couple’s kindness makes you feel cared for throughout your stay. Breakfast is simple but really filling, and there are free drinks too, including barista coffee and Hakuba water.

It was peaceful during my several-night stay, and there were lots of manga to read, so I could really relax. The owner was friendly and easy to talk to. I stayed three days, and the breakfast changed every day. Everything was delicious. I want to go again!!

Even though it rained during our trip, I’m glad we stayed here. The staff were kind to us and to the other guests, and they took great care of us, including helping with transportation. Breakfast was complimentary, but it was so generous, satisfying, and delicious that it hardly felt free. Thank you very much.
