It’s an affordable place to stay in Hakuba, and I’d highly recommend it. The owner was fantastic, picking us up from and taking us back to the train station, helping with everything, and speaking good English. The guesthouse has big, clean rooms, spacious showers, and you can book an hour in the onsen each day. Both breakfast and dinner were really good. It’s also close enough to walk to the lift in your boots.

The owner was incredibly kind. I left a pair of shoes behind, and she shipped them to our next stop. The rooms were lovely and cozy, and there’s a spacious free Onsen. The Happo lifts are only about a three-minute walk away. We had an amazing stay and will be back. :)

My partner and I had an amazing stay at Sakka Sanso while enjoying the snow in Hakuba. The staff were so warm and welcoming. It’s very convenient, close to Sakka slope and lift, and from the slope you can take a bus to the other mountains. The bathing facilities were super clean and well organized. You can reserve the bathroom for a full hour for your room. Thank you!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I really enjoyed my stay. The place was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and I appreciated all the little touches around the house. The food was good, too. It’s convenient to walk to Sakka lift and the shuttles for each ski resort.

This is a fantastic budget hotel, with traditional character and a great location. It’s so close to the Sakka Slope Base Area that it’s practically ski-in, ski-out. The hotel has been family-run for over 60 years, and the owner is the sweetest lady. She made our Hakuba trip really special. I can’t recommend the place enough.
