B&B Mikawa is affordable and comfortable, with accommodation spread across different spots in a quiet village that feels like the true Japan. Staying there also means you can use the public baths. There are excellent restaurants around, karaoke bars, and friendly locals.

Even though we got in after 9 PM following a day of sightseeing in Kanazawa, the service was courteous, and I appreciated it. The room was clean and dog-friendly, and the value was excellent. For just 9,000 yen, the rate included breakfast at a cafe a minute's walk from the station and access to a hot spring bathhouse with free-flowing water, a three-minute drive away.

I was very happy with the room I got. It was all clean, the bedding was soft and fluffy, and there were plenty of outlets. I had two rooms to myself, since I'd reserved both, and the bar on the first floor was closed that day, so I could enjoy the stylish atmosphere. I used Booking.com and got a complimentary upgrade from a double to a triple room. The place is a renovated old Japanese-style house with three rooms upstairs and a bar downstairs. I wish there'd been a mirror in the room as well as in the bathroom. The B&B MIKAWA Info Centre - Kanazawa Fish Harbour is a one-minute walk from Mikawa Station. We checked in there and picked up our keys before going to the accommodation. Since there are several buildings, I found the exterior and parking details unclear when I booked, even though room photos were provided. My room key also gave me free access to the nearby public bathhouse, which made it a good deal.

I'm still staying here, but wanted to write this now! The manager was so kind and showed us nearby shops, checked on our laundry, upgraded us to a new two-story room for four, and even asked about our travel discount and said they'd do their best to help us apply for it. I really appreciated that 😭 The room was stylish and clean, with a lovely open atrium and lots of wood. It felt as comfortable as my own apartment. I wanted to live here, lol. The amenities were more than enough, including instant coffee and water, and the price was so low for all that thoughtfulness. I really want to stay again, and there are several other buildings in the complex I'd like to try too. (＾ν＾)
