The room was spacious and the bedding comfortable. I got to the hotel at 12:30, and was pleasantly surprised that my room was already ready. The staff were very nice and attentive to detail.

A simple, efficient hotel with the basics covered. The bed was decent and the room had good facilities, though the pillow felt a bit hard to me as a Westerner. It’s well located for local food and shopping, and just a short walk from the historic castle.

The bathroom was a nice surprise, with a tub you could sit and bathe in instead of only a tiny shower like at some hotels. It was easy to get back in at night too: the doors are locked, but your card opens the main entrance and lets you take the elevator. The room was a normal size. For a cheap stay in Hamamatsu, this worked well, and the town is about a five-minute walk away. A good spot for a weekend.
