After the long Choishi Michi hike, the hot spring and a good meal were just what we needed. We loved staying here: the cottages were roomy and comfortable, and everyone was so friendly. The Karaage and drinks made with local Jabara fruit were delicious. We’d found Yadori Onsen stay on Booking.com while planning our trip from Osaka to Kii-Hosokawa Station, and it was handy that they offered free pickup at Koyasan and a drop-off at Hashimoto station. Highly recommend it!

Dinner was tasty and affordable, and the staff were friendly and courteous. It’s a small, cozy onsen and restaurant in the mountains by a river. Our clean cottage was above the main building and had enough room for our family of five. Try the karage, and take care driving up.

Autumn there looks like a little slice of paradise. The people were some of the most welcoming, friendly, and helpful we’ve met. The hotel helped us get transit from the nearby train station, and the onsen was very clean and well maintained. Our cottage had all the amenities we needed, plus more, and the views from it were stunning. We stayed one night.

The food at the restaurant was tasty, and the hotel offers transportation. It’s a hidden gem about a 30-minute drive from Koyasan, tucked away in the mountains. The maple trees were beautiful, and the nearby streams with rocks of all sizes looked perfect for a summer holiday. The road is narrow and hard to drive on.

A few mosquitoes were around outside, but this Onsen is still well worth staying overnight for. It’s way out in the middle of nowhere, just right for slowing down. There are two small cottages and two big ones, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I got to chat with some locals while relaxing and sweating in the Onsen. They can also pick you up from the train station and take you back.
