Cottage One Miyajima Kaidou

I was very happy with my stay and would use this cottage again. The owner was kind, the cottage was clean, and the price was reasonable. The ocean is right in front, so the morning walk was lovely, and it's close to the Miyajima ferry terminal. A good option if you're visiting Miyajima with your dog. I drove to Fukuoka for work with my dog and stayed here on the way back. Work forced me to cancel two or three days before the trip, but when I asked about it, they were happy to accommodate me.

We stayed two nights with our two dogs. We've used dog-friendly places on trips outside the prefecture before, and I realized we hadn't researched this one well enough. There were no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, and delivery wasn't available outside the service area. A sign in the room also strictly said pets must not be left alone while you're out. The two-story wooden building carries sound easily. We heard the downstairs guests talking and watching TV, along with doors opening and closing. There were lots of reminders in the room about keeping noise down for the people below, not letting children run because of the noise, and the 10 PM curfew. As other reviews mention, all the warnings left us worn out from worrying about every footstep and door. The Wi-Fi was unstable too. It was a learning experience in a few ways.

There's a big supermarket less than five minutes away, handy for picking things up even early in the morning, and a restaurant nearby opens at 6am for breakfast. The place is in a quiet residential area and convenient for visiting Miyajima. I live in Hiroshima City and have made about ten spontaneous trips here to relax and recharge with my dog. The manager is really nice, so I feel comfortable staying. There are cooking utensils, and the rooms are always cleaned so thoroughly that they make me want to leave everything tidy too. The first floor has a large room, while the second floor is a two-bedroom unit, so it depends on what you prefer.

The manager was friendly and helpful, and I'd stay here again when heading to Hiroshima. We spent two nights here, two adults with a medium-sized dog. The place was easy to find just off the main road. We chose the first floor so we could use our own dog cage. Dog paw towels and plastic bags were at the entrance, and the room had a dog bowl and toilet sheets. The mini kitchen came with a refrigerator, microwave, and fixtures. We didn't use the washing machine, but it'd be handy for a longer stay. The room was spacious, the bathroom clean, and we were comfortable.
