Miyajima-an Hiroshima

It’s a good hotel overall. I just wish the public bath stayed open until at least midnight.

The rooftop dog run was a favorite for my dog, who could roam freely with views over Miyajima. Pets are welcome, and meals are generally served in the guestroom, so I didn’t have to leave my dog alone. It was a wonderful place to stay with a dog. The female manager and part-time staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was carefully prepared and high quality, with well-balanced sashimi, fried dishes and meat, and portions that felt just right. The dishes went well with sake, so I could take my time enjoying them. The open-air bath was the best part for me, calm and quiet and very relaxing. I’d highly recommend this lodging to anyone who values having their pet with them, good food and hot springs.

We were so glad we’d booked here when we saw the traffic backed up from the hotel to the Miyajima ferry terminal around 1 PM on arrival day, with people waiting for parking. We were visiting with family during Golden Week on a room-only plan. Reviews said we could park before check-in, so we got in touch before heading to Miyajima. We finished check-in around 1:30 PM, left the car, and walked to the ferry terminal. The location is fantastic. The hot springs stayed open until 10 PM, and unlimited drinks were a great extra, even on the room-only plan. Seeing the cute dogs belonging to other guests was soothing and made the stay even nicer. Since we booked room-only at the last minute, we couldn’t have meals this time. They looked luxurious, so we’d like to try them next time. Highly recommend!

We had a family stay and found the facilities clean and easy to use. Dinner was delicious, and I was impressed by how considerate the staff were with our children. We accidentally dropped the room key into a gap, but the staff got it back safely for us. Thank you, and for saving my 1,000 yen too. We’ll definitely stay here again when we visit Miyajima.
