This place worked well for our plan to spend one night near the ferry, then head to Miyajima Island early the next day. We left our main bags at a hotel by Hiroshima Station and brought only a small 5 kg carry-on with clothes for the next day. From the nearest metro station, it took about 10-15 minutes to walk here. I didn't find it as difficult as some reviews suggested. Google Maps was all we needed. With big or heavy suitcases, though, that walk could be a problem. The hotel seems to get a low score on Trip.com for reasons that may have more to do with expectations. Some people might be looking for an inexpensive stay in Hiroshima and then be surprised by the distance from the station and city center, while others may think the hotel is on Miyajima itself. As I write this, there are only five Trip.com reviews, so I wanted to explain who might find it suitable. If you're exploring Hiroshima, this isn't a convenient base. It's far from the station, downtown, and sightseeing spots. There also wasn't much nearby, with no restaurants or convenience stores around the hotel. For a short overnight stay before catching the ferry, however, it can make sense. The ferry is about a 30-minute walk away, or roughly 10-15 minutes by local tram. We expected little after reading the reviews, but check-in by machine was quick and smooth. The room was clean and had the amenities we needed. It was spacious enough for two people and our bags, and the bed was big enough for us. I was also surprised there was a laundry room. It felt like a good hotel, and I sometimes wonder what happened in the experiences I read about.
