We loved the traditional but comfortable furnishings, the local materials used in the design, and the local ingredients in the food. The breakfasts delivered each morning were memorable. A high-class Japanese haute cuisine dinner was also arranged and delivered to us, and it was the best meal of our three-week trip around Japan. We had a comfortable, wonderful three-night stay in a traditional Japanese apartment in the heart of Hida Furakawa. The staff were helpful, replied promptly to questions on WhatsApp, and made several recommendations that we followed. The place is also well located for visiting Shin Hotaka Ropeway and Takayama. Highly recommend!

The cooking class was really enjoyable, with excellent instructors and good organisation. Our family of four, two adults and kids aged 6 and 9, all had a great stay. The room was well appointed and easily the most spacious one we had on our whole trip. The location in Hida Furakawa was very handy too.

The beds and duvets were very comfy. We didn’t use the upstairs floor at all. There was no plug in the sink, which is common in Japan, and it made washing smalls or shaving difficult.

The village is calm and beautiful. We really appreciated the kind staff, the comfortable room, and the cooking lesson with Nanami. A wonderful experience!
