After tiring days at work or in everyday life, it was lovely to be somewhere so close to nature. I came away feeling refreshed in both mind and body, ready to get back to work and daily life. I stayed at Private Resort Hekikai, one of the rental villas in the Private Resort series, and was struck by how beautiful the views were compared with the other villas I’ve visited. The outside has a European style, while the interior mixes Japanese and Western touches. The living, dining, and kitchen area was comfortable, and so were the bedrooms. I’d love to stay again.

After the sauna, we stretched out in the relaxation area and looked down at the view. We ended up lying there for about an hour without noticing how much time had passed. The hot spring view was spectacular too, and having the place to ourselves felt like a real luxury. We found this private resort after someone who’d stayed at Private Nichidan introduced it to us. It sounds like Private Resort has other properties as well, and we’re looking forward to visiting them.
