Hotel & Resort Izunone

Plan to spend the rest of the day here and relax instead of heading out. The onsens are lovely, and I can see why they were fully booked. Dinner and breakfast were great, like thoughtful home cooking, not greasy, and good in both flavor and presentation. They provide clothes to wear, slippers, and a towel. The hosts were polite and took good care of us. Our host spoke good English, and they even had a drawing showing all the food we’d be eating. We arrived around 14:00 for our one-day stay and brought food before dinner. Grocery stores are about a 10-minute walk away, but the selection is small, mostly simple things for lunch. We came by car, though I noticed others arriving by taxi or public transport. It’s a great place to stay for a day, and I’d definitely recommend it.

After ten days in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, spending a couple of nights here was a perfect way to wind down. It’s a quiet area with springs all around and lovely ocean views. The staff were amazing and eager to help with check-in and carry our luggage upstairs. The rooms are a little dated, but ours had a gorgeous sea view. Taking a bath on the balcony was a lovely way to relax, and the public onsen were beautiful under the stars with water at just the right temperature. Highly recommend.

I wasn’t a guest, but I really appreciated the helpful shuttle bus driver. They carried my heavy baggage down to the waiting area and called the hotel I was staying at. I’d like to stay at Hiina Hotel next time, since I think the staff will be as kind as the driver.

The ocean view was lovely, and the Japanese set meal was amazing. The staff were dedicated, the service fantastic, and the stay relaxing. Thanks to everyone.
