The Celecton Higashiosaka Nagataekimae

The hotel looked amazing, and my husband booked a room for two on booking.com for our honeymoon. When we arrived, we were told each room could only have one person. I don’t know if there was a mix-up between the reservation site and hotel, since we had clearly booked for two, or if it was because my documents still have my maiden name. The staff were courteous, but insisted that I make a separate reservation from my husband. They called a hotel around the block to check for availability, then sent us on our way. If you’re traveling with someone, I’d book elsewhere.

The reception staff were nice, and the rooms were clean and good, though very small. Prices can vary. It’s a fair way from the city center but close to a metro station.

My room had enough space and was comfortable, with pleasant amenities. The on-site vending, food, and laundry options were useful, and the hotel was good value.

New, very clean, and nicely decorated with a modern feel. During my travel dates, they served a hearty evening meal of squid balls free every day. Great value for the money.
