The outdoor bath has a lovely view, and the water is good. Great onsen.

If you enjoy nature, with the pond, trees, breeze, blue sky, and clouds, you may like this hot spring. The open-air bath is right beside the pond, so you're in view of other people if that bothers you. There was one person who seemed to be in the bath. The hot spring itself has no showers or sauna, and the facilities are nature-focused. Much of the complex is old, which can make it feel cold in winter. The taps run lukewarm, so I found it best to pour hot spring water over myself, then get straight into the bath to warm up. Turn the taps fully and both dispense very hot spring water, along with mineral deposits. Body soap, shampoo, and conditioner are available. There are 100 yen coin lockers, but the money isn't returned. Admission is 600 yen for adults, and they don't take PayPay. The toilets are unisex. The gravel path between reception and the hot spring has slopes and dips, so it could be tough for anyone with mobility issues, especially when it's raining. Personally, I prefer the clean Fukuzumi no Yu.

I often stop by for a soak. The open-air bath is lovely, with excellent water, a distinctive fragrance, and trees all around. You really get the feeling of being at a hot spring, especially in the smooth water straight from the source. This isn't a place I'd suggest to anyone who wants polished facilities or purified water. The indoor bath has no shower. I hear that even when one is installed, it breaks down quickly, probably because of all the mineral deposits coming from the taps. I wouldn't recommend washing your hair here. Drop-in bathing hours are limited, so even on weekends it's often quiet, with just a small group. Every so often someone ignores the silent-bathing sign, which sadly spoils the atmosphere.

At around 600 yen, it's a very affordable choice if the spring water is what matters most to you. I like the scenery and atmosphere, but the dated facilities and the lack of cleanliness that comes with them bothered me, including around the baths and food. When I visited in autumn or winter, the pond-side outdoor bath was lukewarm, the shallow tub looked chilly, and the outdoor changing area was very basic, so I stuck to the indoor bath. Even the indoor tap put out hot spring water. I'd never seen so many mineral deposits before.
