Hotel Sindbad Hirosaki

The TV had an oddly high resolution, and that was about the only plus. The room and bathroom both had a really strong cigarette smell. A mint spray was there, but the odor had worked into the wallpaper, so spraying it did nothing. The air purifier was packed with dust, there was what looked like blood on the comforter, and there was mold in the bathroom. As a non-smoker, I found it unbearable. They apparently couldn't serve breakfast or any other meals because the kitchen equipment was broken. If they'd mentioned that when I called to confirm, I could have brought food, including breakfast. There was Wi-Fi, but no password, and I was too uneasy to use it. They should at least have password-protected Wi-Fi. I booked because it was cheaper than a business hotel, but the smoke kept me from sleeping well. I won't stay here again.

The payment machine is set above a small window, higher than at other hotels. At 154cm, I had to look up and found it hard to use unless I stepped up a little from the entrance. I'm not sure if it was put there on the assumption that men would mainly be paying, but men under 160cm should watch out for it. 😅 The food has a good variety and is reasonably priced, and the rooms are nice too. (^^) I'd have given it five stars otherwise.

I've been staying here two or three times a month, and I've usually enjoyed it, but this time and last time left me honestly disappointed. There were no toothbrushes, nobody answered the phone, and I found hair in the bathroom. Has the service and cleaning always been this careless? I was shocked. I won't choose this place again.

The rest was pretty ordinary, but don't take a room on the south side. The boiler makes noise constantly, day and night, and I couldn't sleep.
