APA Hotel Hiroshima Ekimae Stadium Guchi

Check-out is at 10 a.m., and staying later costs 1000 yen for each extra hour. The rooms are small, with basic amenities, and there's no Onsen at this location. Just a typical APA hotel.

The bed and pillow were good quality and I slept well, and breakfast was good too. The location is convenient, not far from the station, and the room is about average in size for a city hotel. Train noise could be a concern if you're sensitive to it, though it didn't bother me.

The bathtub was the best part after spending more than three hours each day on hard stadium seats. The hot water had excellent pressure, the facilities felt new, and the quiet bath was a relief for tired muscles. I stayed three nights in early June 2025, and the hotel is only a ten-minute walk from Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium, so after a game I could be back soaking while other fans were still at the station. It's right by the train tracks, so trains pass at night. I found that gentle rumble less disturbing than a neighbor snoring through the wall, a fair trade for me. Walking from Hiroshima Station, you have to cross the railroad tracks. It can look a bit risky at first, but following the locals and waiting for the signal makes it simple. Check-in starts at 3 p.m., and the staff were kind and welcoming. There’s a microwave on the second floor, though its buttons are in Japanese, as well as vending machines for water. For the comfort, price and especially the location, I’d absolutely stay again for a game and enjoy both the city and stadium.

The rooms and bedding were clean, the bathrooms and showers were great, and the stay was cozy enough. Check-in was a little difficult because they had entered our names incorrectly. I also really dislike that tattoos aren't allowed in the onsen baths. :(
