Hiroshima Pacific Hotel

I arrived before check-in and the staff held my suitcases for me. After checkout they also kindly kept my bags, even though I wasn't leaving Hiroshima until late at night. There's a convenience store nearby, and the lobby has free coffee and bottled water. The customer service was good. The room was smaller than I expected, and the walls weren't soundproof. I played music at a normal volume at night, then got a request to keep it down because a neighbor had complained. The next day I could hear people talking and a baby crying in the next room.

The prices are low, and this is a good hotel to stay at. It's unassuming and centrally located near Hiroshima Station, Hiroshima Castle, and the Atom Bomb Dome. The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. My usual complaint is that the mattress is hard, and the shower pressure was a little weaker than I prefer, though it worked fine. Neither issue took away from the stay.

It's easy to get around from this hotel, with Hiroshima Castle nearby and places like Coco Ichibanya and Sukiya within walking distance. 7-11 and Family Mart are right across the street. I also loved that you can take free amenities like miso packs, tea, coffee, combs, and shavers. Really like this hotel.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable, and the bathroom felt a bit dated. Still, the location is good, just a walk from downtown, and the staff are friendly. The amenities are good too.
