Kuretakesou Hiroshima Otemachi Hotel

The location made getting around easy. The hotel is on a main avenue, within walking distance of the hiroshima museum and the peace park, with a street car stop right outside for trips to and from Hiroshima station. They also let me leave my luggage there before check-in and after checkout. I had a great stay at Kuretakeso Hiroshima-otemachi. It's a modern place with machine check-in and checkout, and the staff were polite and ready to help. Toiletries are available in the lobby. Every evening from 18h to 20h, guests get a complimentary drink. You can mix a cocktail from the quality drinks provided or pour a beer from the tap and take it to your room. We really enjoyed that. I liked the hotel a lot and would happily stay again. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

I was in Hiroshima for work and picked this hotel along the streetcar route. Hiroshima Electric Railway's "Chuden-mae" stop is right outside, and the English signs made the place easy to find. The automated check-in and checkout were convenient, and breakfast had enough variety to leave me satisfied. The room wasn't huge, but I was glad to find a large bath and a sauna. There are massage chairs in the laundry room, which made waiting more comfortable. At evening happy hour, guests can have a drink, including beer, which was a nice way to relax after work. The hotel still felt new, and my room was clean and comfortable. For a fairly reasonable price, the service was impressively good.

My room had no view, which did help keep the road noise down. It was clean, and the hotel feels fairly new. The one thing I missed was smart TV features like YouTube.

The coin laundry room with washers and dryers is useful, though the dryer I tried didn't do a very good job. After 90 minutes, longer than the machine recommended, my clothes were still pretty wet, so I had to spread them around my small room for nearly 24 hours to get them dry. This is a typical Japanese business hotel: the rooms are carefully laid out and functional, but very, very small. Opening my suitcase on the floor took up nearly all the space not needed for the bed or the way to the bathroom and door. If you have more than one case, you might want a larger room. It was the cheapest hotel I stayed at in Japan, so the size didn't surprise me or bother me much, and the value was good. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance of the peace park, A-bomb dome, Hiroshima castle, and the shopping district. I was on the top floor and could see the A-bomb dome from my room. For the price, it's a solid option.
