Randor Residence Hiroshima Suites

There’s loads of room here compared with what you’d get in Osaka or Tokyo, and the amenities are top notch. It’s close to Hiroshima train station and the historical sites, too. The service was friendly. I’m not sure why some reviews are negative, since those issues seem to have been personal problems rather than the hotel’s fault. I’d recommend it for the location, space, and amenities.

This was one of our favorite places in Japan. We’ve stayed in a lot of cities and towns, and this one is very near the station, roomy, cozy, clean, and set up with what you need for a trip. We bought vegetables and meat and made shabu shabu in the living room with the kitchen pot. There’s a washer, and you can hang clothes in the bathroom and use the clothes-drying setting. Just follow the instructions in the guidebook.

There’s plenty of space, and the bathroom is great, especially the tub that fills automatically. The location is right by the station, with lots of places to eat and bars nearby, but that comes with noise from trains day and night and drunk people outside until 2 a.m. The washing machine doesn’t dry clothes, and using the bathroom’s drying feature took 8 hours. If you need a quiet place, this isn’t it. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The automated check-in was easy, and the place is within walking distance of Hiroshima Station. We arrived early and the host let us check in right away. I also had an unpaid charge because my international card wouldn’t work on the Japanese payment gateway, and they kindly waived it.
