For the price, this was great value, and being right by the station made it a perfect base for traveling back and forth with a JR pass. I could choose between a western or Japanese room, it was cleaned daily, and the wifi was fast. The aircon worked well, though I used it for warmth. I was also very grateful for the gift when I left. The family who run the hotel try hard to help, though English is limited. The mum's accent is slightly Mediterranean, which is interesting since she'd only studied it at school. There are some drawbacks: just one shower/bath, blinds that don't block all the light, and street noise can carry into the room. For what I paid, those things didn't matter.

Being close to the station is a definite plus, but keep in mind this place is quite different from what people usually expect of a business hotel, even though it was listed as one in a search on a certain website. The bath, toilet, and washroom are all shared. There's only one bath, available on a first-come, first-served basis, so you may have to wait if several people arrive at once. Bathing and doing laundry are only allowed during limited hours, so you can't use the facilities whenever you like. Your schedule is restricted in various ways, which makes this a poor fit if you prefer to work at your own pace.

It's small and dated, but a good fit if you just need an inexpensive place to stay. The station is about a three-minute walk away. When there aren't many guests, it can take around 10 minutes for the hot water to come through.
