We had a great time in Hiroshima and I'd happily return to New Yorishiro hotel, even on a personal trip. I was there for a school trip with my students, who have very high standards, and none of them complained about the rooms being super clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful too. They booked a room for us at the nearby karaoke place and helped me ship 16 pieces of luggage back to Tokyo. It's a convenient 4-5 minute walk from the station.

I've stayed in countless budget hotels, and this one is among the best for its price. It's an old-fashioned Japanese budget place, but the room is well kept and you can tell the proprietor takes care with it. There's a little writing desk, and the lobby has complimentary snacks and coffee. The one drawback is the tiny bathtub.

The family running the inn were very welcoming, and the hospitality was great. The rooms have a traditional Japanese style, though they felt a bit small and bare.

The hosts were caring and made for a really nice stay. There's no breakfast, but the station is under a 10 minute walk away, with dozens of snacks and restaurants nearby.

The service was really attentive, and the location worked perfectly for me. A great place, definitely recommend it.
