Petit Benefit Hotel Hiroshima

The rooms were clean and the bed was spacious, but the bathroom was a problem. The toilet seat kept falling unless you held it up, the shower barely fit one person, and the soap dispensers didn’t work. The walls are thin too. I could hear the people next door talking, and families arriving noisily interrupted my sleep. I drove five hours from Kansai and left very unhappy. The location is good, with a Lawsons around the corner, a city view, and a small church across from the building. But there were four open parking spaces that staff said they didn’t own, even though N’s Hotel owns the property, so we had to pay for parking. Then we saw other people park in those spaces. I’d rather have spent my money elsewhere. I felt lied to, uncomfortable, and unsatisfied.

The owner was kind and helpful, and replied to messages really quickly. The rooms were clean, the location and view were very nice, and the wi-fi worked perfectly. A comfortable, stress-free place to stay in Hiroshima. Arigato! :))

The sightseeing location is decent, though the tram ride from Hiroshima station was really slow. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I won’t return. There’s no reception, so you have to handle everything yourself before you arrive. I could accept that, but the 9 PM check-in cutoff seemed exceptionally early and unnecessary without a reception desk. The lavatory was the tiniest I’ve seen in Japan, and the shower products were unusable. Shampoo was missing from its dispenser and left separately, so I tested the other two before showering. Good thing, because the shower gel jammed after one push. I ended up opening the top with the provided scissors since I had no coins, taking it off the dispenser, and using it by hand. Quite a bad experience.

There’s no front desk, and the building is under construction inside and out. The first floors are being worked on, but the rooms on the 4th floor and above are habitable and nice. The rest of the room was very nice, though the bathroom was tiny and uncomfortable.
