Spa & Sauna Hotel Hitachi Plaza

This is my regular place to stay in Hitachi, and it makes me happy every time. There’s a germanium public bath, a sauna, self-service beauty equipment, and plenty of massage chairs. The breakfast is seriously delicious too ☺️ My one gripe is the soy sauce. They only provide those little packets that come with sushi. A soy sauce dispenser would be easier to use. Hope they’ll consider it!

The big public bath had lots of washing stations, and the spacious hot bath was wonderfully relaxing. The staff were all polite and helpful. The room was perfectly adequate. Wi-Fi seemed a little slow, but I could still work without trouble. The parking lot is at the back. There was a good range of tea bags alongside the machine juices as welcome drinks, and the complimentary alcoholic drink was a nice touch.

They've put a lot of thought into the extras here. Along with welcome drinks and alcohol, they even had shaved ice since it's summer. The best bit was the large public bath, with a Finnish sauna and various beauty equipment in the women's bath. For a moment I forgot I was in a business hotel. Breakfast was delicious and there was a wide choice. I'd definitely stay again.

I was on a business trip and stayed in a single. The station is a bit of a walk away, but the price was reasonable. The room felt old and the curtains were torn. Still, I was glad to have an inexpensive place to stay and didn't have any major complaints.
