Monbetsu Prince Hotel

We stayed one night in September, and the breakfast was excellent, with lots of tasty options. The staff spoke English, so I could communicate easily, and they seemed used to having foreign guests. That's helpful, since booking isn't easy everywhere in Japan. My son and I really enjoyed the onsen. There's a small outdoor spring too, and although it's tiny, we were glad to have it. The kids' bathrobe was cute. There was also laundry, and I liked the idea of pillows being left in the hallway, though I'm not sure why they were there. Parking was plentiful outside, with another lot nearby if that one fills up. A good place to stay if you're visiting Mombetsu.

We spent one night at Mombetsu Prince Hotel last week. It was easy to get around from here, with a convenience store nearby and restaurants and Aeon mall within walking distance. The room, though, was really cramped for two adults, with barely any space to walk, and the fixtures and furniture felt dated. Fortunately, both dinner and breakfast were good, with plenty of variety.

The staff were good, and the breakfast buffet had lots of choices. The hotel is a little dated, though, and even the non-smoking rooms had a stale cigarette smell.

The non-smoking room smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that it felt suffocating. A real shame, because the English-speaking staff at the counter were very helpful, and breakfast was amazing, with a huge seafood spread. I stayed for a night while visiting Tokkari Center.
