The stay was neither good nor bad, but a few things left me uncomfortable. The toilet was a little dirty, and children ran noisily along the hallway while I was trying to sleep. Someone I knew was staying there, but at checkout I had to wait because they seemed caught up in conversation and didn’t notice me. They also got my reservation name wrong when I checked in, which was unpleasant. They don’t usually make mistakes like that, do they?

The price is reasonable, which is a real help. The owner's mother runs the place on her own, so let's take it easy here too. It’s about 1 km from rock music spots and convenience stores, which might suit you if you want a little break from the hustle, bustle, and culture. Cash only.

The owner was very kind, and the food was delicious. The rooms and facilities were clean, too.

The food was too salty for me, and I couldn’t really taste the quality of the ingredients. There was pork wrapped in bacon and salted salmon meunière, I think, plus a cheap-tasting macaroni salad and soup that seemed mostly ginger. The price made it harder to overlook. Dessert was mild curdled milk, neither sweet nor strong. I know one person is running the place and there may be things missed, but the room wallpaper was torn and the loft bed was dusty. I hesitated to get into bed at all. It just wasn’t to my taste.

The inn has a calm, pleasant feel, and it seems it must once have been a lovely pension. They’re still working hard, but the place also made me want to clean it up. Using the bath and bed takes a lot of effort. It was memorable, in a way that felt different from an ordinary stay.
