I spent three nights here and would happily return if I’m in the area. It’s a lovely guest house run by a genuinely kind family, and the restaurant and cafe were great too. The mom is a wonderful cook. I could check the waves from my window, then be at the water in a three-minute walk. Highly recommend!

I ended up canceling and didn’t stay. I’d read that they sometimes pick guests up at the train station, which mattered because I had a big suitcase. I messaged to ask how I could get there with it and whether they could help, but never heard back. That lack of communication felt like a bad sign for the stay as a whole.

This was my favorite place to stay in Japan. The family running it were so welcoming and spoke really good English. Breakfast on the half-board plan was Western-style, with delicious food and great coffee, and the dinners were tasty too. Our room looked out over the beach. It was simple and very clean, though the big road right beside the property could get noisy. They clearly take that into account and provide earplugs. Having both a washer and dryer there was handy as well. I’d gladly stay at this lovely little place again. Thanks for such a nice visit!
