Ichikawa Grand Hotel

When I asked to check in, the staff member at the front desk on 3/29 at11:30pm just stared at me with a dumbfounded look while I pulled up my booking. I'd booked the wrong date, and he smirked and said, "this is for April not march," then told me, "we don't have any rooms tonight," and walked away without offering help. Even if a guest gets the date wrong, a hotel should at least avoid being obnoxious, and I feel like they could offer to call a taxi or something. The place also looked extremely old and dirty, with ripples in the carpet and marks all over the walls, signs, and door. With service and upkeep this bad, I highly recommend not staying here.

The Superior twin room was spacious, and I loved being able to choose extra shampoos and amenities on each floor. The hotel is dated, but clean. …Loved it 💝💝

It was quite surprising. When I first asked with my family whether they had a room for three, they said no. We checked online and saw one available, booked it within 30 minutes, then came back with the booking receipt. They gave us the keys.

I could easily find food and necessities nearby, with lots of 24-hour shops and local restaurants. The view was great, and Ichikawa station was very accessible. My twin room was clean, though a little small compared with what I'm used to. I gave it three stars because there was no ventilation apart from the heater, so the room felt stuffy and too warm for me. There were no ceiling lights either, and the lighting wasn't great for working on my laptop.
